Food Aid

Do you need help putting food on the table? 

We offer the CalFresh program, which provides limited-income households with a monthly benefit to help buy food. We can also refer you to other food programs from other service providers.

Depending on household income, people may qualify for:

Many charitable organizations distribute food or meals. They set their own eligibility standards. For more information, see these resources:

  • Emergency food referral lists and maps   from our partners at the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, and descriptions of their programs  (including nutrition education).
  • Food resource page from the Santa Barbara County 2-1-1 resource finder.
  • The California Department of Education has posted a list  of all school districts and locations offering grab-and-go meals during the COVID-19 school closure. They've also created an app  to help families locate meals.
