Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today Dario Pini pled to one count of Trespass. The facts of this case involved Mr. Pini's unauthorized entry into a to-be-demolished structure located on a fenced construction site.
The second suspect wanted in connection with a stolen car and pursuit in Carpinteria is in custody. At around 2:45 p.m. this afternoon at the corner of Telegraph Road and Victoria Avenue, 28-year-old Taryn Yankovitch was arrested by Ventura Police Officers following a traffic stop. She was recognized as a passenger in the car and taken into custody.
At around 9:45 a.m. this morning, local ranch employees discovered a beached boat within a secluded cove on the Cojo Ranch, below the Point Conception Light House. Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Narcotics Detectives responded to the scene and found an abandoned 30 foot Panga boat. Detectives found approximately 2,000 pounds of marijuana stashed at the base of a nearby cliff, adjacent to the boat. The marijuana has an estimated street value of approximately 4 million dollars.

The driver of a stolen car who fled from Sheriff's Deputies yesterday in Carpinteria prompting a search of the area is in custody. 22-year-old Joseph Rowland was arrested this morning in Ventura and transported to the Santa Barbara County Jail.
