Quality Care Management

The Quality Care Management (QCM) Division monitors services that are provided by the Santa Barbara County Mental Health Plan which includes services provided within the Department of Behavioral Wellness as well as by contract providers. Monitoring takes place to insure that State contract, and State and Federal regulations are met. QCM develops implementation processes to continually monitor the quality of care that Behavioral Wellness consumers receive. QCM accomplishes this many ways including through regular audits, annual quality improvement work plans, annual quality improvement goals, annual work plan evaluations, performance improvement projects, collaboration with providers, and developing mental health plan related training and resources. Additionally, QCM maintains knowledge of current federal and state rules and regulations that guide our day to day operations.
