Sheriff's detectives have released additional information from the shooting on December 22, 2020 in the 1000-block of Escalante. One person died as a result of the shooting and one person was injured.

One Custody Deputy and one non-sworn staff member have tested positive for COVID-19. The Custody Deputy last worked on December 11, 2020, began experiencing symptoms today, was tested and found to be COVID-19 positive.
